[19] Jewell Village
At the end of the Scenic Byway on GA 16, you will arrive at the village of Jewell at the Hancock/Warren county line and the Ogeechee River. You can still see the remains of Jewell’s Mill, which burned in the 1920’s, on the left as you cross the river. Before crossing the river, however, please take the time to turn right just before the bridge and enjoy the very peaceful and picturesque village green with its churches and old houses.
