[14] Terrell House
As you continue down GA 16, past the GA 15 merge but before the courthouse square in Sparta, the antebellum home on your right is the Terrell House. Dr. William Terrell, who endowed the first chair of agriculture at the University of Georgia and in the United States, built this home around 1820.
